Application

All information regarding the application for the Master's program Energy Science and Engineering can be found here.

The Master’s program in Energy Science and Engineering starts every year in the winter term. Applications for the Master’s program can be submitted online and will be open from the beginning of June to July 15.

Interested students with a German university entrance qualification please apply online via the pages of the Secretary of students (Studierendensekretariates).

Interested students with a university entrance qualification from abroad please apply online via the pages of the foreign students office (Akademischen Auslandsamtes der TU Darmstadt).

Getting accepted as a student at TU Darmstadt involves two steps: In the first step a student applies for a place in the program of his or her choice. After the application has been reviewed, accepted students can then in a second step enroll in the program (information about enrollment deadline will be provided with the notification of admission).

Condition for admission for the Master of Science in Energy Science and Engineering is a university degree (Bachelor of Science) in engineering or natural sciences with a minimum of 18 ECTS (Credit Points) for mathematics and 24 ECTS for engineering or natural sciences.

If you have a degree from a technical college (Fachhochschule) it is principally possible to participate in the program. Missing competences may possibly be made up for by fulfilling additional requirements.

Essential is whether in the respective degree the competences mentioned in Annex II (Anhang II) of the performance standards (Ausführungsbestimmungen) were acquired. There you find a list of the competences that need to be attested as admission requirements for the program Energy Science and Engineering.
