TU Darmstadt Energy Center

TU Darmstadt Energy Center was founded in 2007. The research and competency network addresses the development of fundamentals in engineering, natural and social sciences to foster the transformational changes in energy supply and consumption.

Goals of TU Darmstadt Energy Center

  • Networking and exchange between the involved scientists and institutes as well as with partners from politics and industry.
  • A further development of established and research on new energy technologies and their interconnection towards an efficient energy mix.
  • An increase of energy efficiency in industry, transport and the building sector.
  • Coordination of the education and promotion of young scientists in the interdisciplinary energy research.

The TU Darmstadt Energy Center Advisory Board facilitates an active exchange between decision makers from science, politics, economy and administration. It furthermore supports TU Darmstadt Energy Center in the organisation of scientific seminars and conferences and facilitates the translation of research findings into practice and vice versa from practical questions into specifically phrased research targets.
